Incheon to host Island Day Festa to promote 197 local islands

Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 2nd Incheon Island Day Festa on the 10th at the Incheon Sangsang Platform. Under the subtitle ‘Welcome to Incheon Islands’, the event aims to showcase the natural beauty, culture, and local specialties of the region's 197 islands while fostering exchange between citizens and island residents.

The festival will feature an Incheon Island Promotion Lounge, an exhibition of photos from a citizen island photography contest, and celebratory performances by singer Lee Do-jin and local residents. Families can participate in various experiential programs and enter prize draws for rewards such as stays at Inspire Resort.

A Win-Win Market will sell representative local specialties from areas like Ganghwa and Ongjin. To boost local economic revitalization and resident income, a 20% cashback benefit will be provided for payments made using Incheon e-Eum. Additionally, the event will include an Incheon Island Policy Forum and a meeting for island residents to discuss regional issues and sustainable development strategies.
