Incheon to host ‘Tidal Flat, Treasure of Incheon’ festival

The third annual ‘2026 Tidal Flat, Treasure of Incheon’ festival will be held on the 24th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Songdo Sunrise Park grass plaza. Organized by the ‘We Green Incheon’ steering committee—which includes SK Incheon Petrochemical, Catholic Environmental Solidarity, Incheon Green Union, and several other local environmental groups—the event aims to promote the ecological value and conservation of Incheon's tidal flats.

The festival features themed zones for tidal flats, migratory birds, and marine life. Activities include making keyrings and grip toks shaped like local flagship species such as the black-faced spoonbill and white-clawed crab, as well as eco-friendly handkerchief making. Other programs include a tidal flat quiz competition, a costume contest using recycled materials, an outdoor library, and exhibitions of marine life.

Participants can collect stamps through various booths to exchange for prizes. The event is designed to provide families with hands-on experiences to understand the importance of marine ecosystems and tidal flat preservation.
