Incheon Tourism Organization launches new industry lectures and ecotourism initiatives
The Incheon Tourism Organization is implementing several initiatives to advance the region's tourism industry and sustainable development. On October 1, the organization will host a special lecture titled ‘The Transition of Travel, the Future of Tourism’ at the Sangsang Platform. The event features Lim Hye-min, CEO of Creatrip, discussing data-driven tourism trends and Incheon's response strategies, as well as author Song Gil-young, who will examine the future of travel from a macro perspective.
Additionally, the organization, in collaboration with Incheon City, is promoting the ‘2026 Incheon Ecotourism Village’ project. This initiative focuses on developing sustainable tourism by utilizing local ecological resources through community participation. Six villages have been selected for the program, including the Yeongjong Ecological Tidal Flat Tour. This program offers various activities such as tidal flat tours to observe endangered species like the white-footed crab and migratory birds, as well as salt farm and birdwatching tours, aimed at providing educational and ecological experiences for families and groups.
