Incheon Tourism Organization President Yoo Ji-sang resigns

Yoo Ji-sang, the president of the Incheon Tourism Organization, has submitted his resignation, leaving approximately two years remaining in his term. The resignation, cited for personal reasons, comes after only one year in office.

Following the submission of the resignation letter, Incheon City will conduct follow-up procedures, including background checks for misconduct, before the mayor officially accepts it. This departure is expected to trigger a recruitment process for a successor.

The resignation occurs amid broader scrutiny of public corporations and agencies under the Incheon municipal government. The city has recently initiated service inspections for executives at five major corporations and agencies, focusing on attendance, use of business expenses, and potential misconduct. This move has been interpreted by some as pressure for officials appointed during the previous administration to step down.
