Inci Akü factory fire causes heavy damage in Manisa
A major fire broke out at the İnci Akü factory located within the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone in the Yunusemre district of Manisa, Turkey. The blaze originated near the battery charging station and in close proximity to acid tankers, creating a high risk of chemical reactions and explosions.
Emergency response efforts involved 22 fire engines and 52 personnel from the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, alongside units from the Manisa and Muradiye Organized Industrial Zones and forest firefighting vehicles. After approximately two hours of intensive work, crews managed to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring facilities or critical chemical storage units.
Drone footage captured the following morning revealed extensive damage to the production areas. While the fire was contained, the proximity to flammable materials and acid tankers necessitated a large-scale security perimeter and coordinated cooling operations to ensure safety.
