Inclusion and participation initiatives organized in Germany

Various initiatives in Germany are focusing on enhancing social inclusion and participation for people with disabilities.

In Berlin, the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district office is hosting the 5th annual professional conference, ‘Inklusion erleben!’, on November 4, 2026. The event aims to strengthen cooperation among professionals in the social, educational, and health sectors. By facilitating networking workshops, the conference seeks to develop practical solutions and improve support systems for people with disabilities within their immediate living environments.

Additionally, the MTV sports center is hosting an action day titled ‘Vielfalt willkommen – unser Tag für mehr Teilhabe und Inklusion’. This event is designed to promote accessibility and community engagement through various activities, including a wheelchair course and inclusive sports badges. The initiative aims to lower barriers to entry for diverse groups and showcase improved accessibility, such as the implementation of new stair lifts.
