Inclusion initiatives held in Caltanissetta and Messina

Various inclusion and equal opportunity initiatives were recently held in Sicily, Italy. In Caltanissetta, the WIRED - Work Inclusion Recruiting Day took place at the Biblioteca Luciano Scarabelli. The event, organized by local officials and the Caltanissetta Employment Center, involved over 200 participants and 15 companies. The program focused on promoting inclusive employment for people with disabilities, featuring seminars on reasonable accommodations and legal hiring obligations under Law 68/1999.

In Messina, the IV edition of the Festival delle Pari Opportunità dello Stretto, known as Inclusivity Village 2026, was held at Villa Dante. The event brought together institutions, associations, and researchers to discuss accessibility and social inclusion. Key highlights included the IncludiME project, promoted by the Municipality of Messina to combat discrimination and violence, and discussions on using artificial intelligence to enhance services and opportunities for all citizens.
