Inclusive sports festivals held in Brandenburg and Konstanz, Germany

The city of Brandenburg an der Havel organized a free "Sportfest für ALLE" featuring more than 30 activities, including a wheelchair course, climbing wall, football‑dart, dragon‑boat training, and a 30‑minute women's run. Workshops on yoga, Pilates, stress management and other topics were offered, and a children’s area provided a bouncy castle, games and face painting. The event was co‑hosted by the municipal sports department, local clubs and community organisations.

In Konstanz, the Handballspielgemeinschaft (HSG) runs the inclusive "AktivGarten" for children aged three to thirteen, integrating those with and without disabilities in handball‑related and general movement programmes. The project, funded by the city and a one‑off grant from the Cerlowa‑Stiftung, faced a funding lapse in 2024, prompting the municipal council to intervene and maintain support for the limited‑capacity programme.
