Inclusive Sports Initiatives Grow in Argentina and Spain

In Bell Ville, Argentina, the municipality and the Instituto Superior de Educación Física Bell have launched joint sessions for Adapted Physical Activities. Third‑year ISEF students work with local sport and health officials to provide training for athletes with disabilities who aim to compete in the annual Paralympic Sports Games in Villa María. The program, ongoing since 2022, integrates academic practice with community inclusion.

In Spain, Fundación Sanitas’ "Deporte Inclusivo en la Escuela" programme has reached over 4,700 students, teachers and staff across 44 schools in 16 locations for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The initiative, which also expanded to public schools in Quito, Ecuador, emphasizes joint participation of students with and without disabilities. “Queremos que la inclusión se aprenda también desde la experiencia,” said Yolanda Erburu, vice‑president of the foundation.
