Income Tax Appellate Tribunal announces 42 job vacancies

The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), a quasi-judicial body under the Ministry of Law and Justice, has issued an official notification to fill 42 vacancies for Senior Private Secretary and Private Secretary positions (both Group B Gazetted) across its various benches.

The 42 vacancies consist of 22 Senior Private Secretary posts and 20 Private Secretary posts, with specific allocations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and General categories. The online application process commenced on July 18, and the deadline for submission is August 16.

Eligible candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized institution in any subject. Additional requirements include a typing speed of 120 words per minute in English shorthand and proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, or PageMaker. The maximum age limit is set at 35 years, though age relaxations apply to reserved categories. Selection will be conducted through a written examination, a skill test, and a personal interview.
