Incra to incorporate 1,700 hectares in Mato Grosso for agrarian reform

The National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) has approved a judicial agreement to incorporate 1,746 hectares of land in Diamantino, Mato Grosso, for agrarian reform.

The agreement resolves a long-standing land dispute involving the Betara, Santa Fé, and Rodeio farms within the Caetano Dias region. Under the terms of the settlement, Incra will acquire the Nossa Senhora da Conceição IV and Santa Clara farms. An additional financial contribution will be directed toward the agency to fund basic infrastructure for future agricultural settlements.

Technical reports have confirmed the soil's suitability for family farming. While the agreement has been approved by the Board of Directors, final implementation remains subject to rigorous verification of land titles and registry documentation by the Specialized Federal Prosecutor's Office.
