Pixar's Incredibles 3 will keep Parr family at original ages, says Brad Bird

Pixar has confirmed that the third installment of the Incredibles franchise is scheduled for release on June 16 2028. The film’s creator, writer‑director Brad Bird – who helmed the first two movies – told The Direct that the Parr family will not be aged for the sequel.

Bird said each character represents a distinct stage of life: Jack‑Jack embodies the mystery of infancy, Dash reflects the boundless energy of a ten‑year‑old, Violet captures teenage insecurity, and Helen illustrates a mother pulled in many directions. He argued that a time jump that ages the characters would undermine these archetypal roles that define the series.

Peter Sohn will direct Incredibles 3 while Bird serves as writer and executive producer. The clarification addresses long‑standing fan speculation about showing older versions of the heroes after the decade‑plus gap between the first two films.
