Fondazione INDA launches Odyssey performance series in Syracuse

The Fondazione INDA is launching “Sarà sempre Odissea,” a series of six performative readings dedicated to Homeric epic. Held at the Ortea Palace Hotel Sicily in Syracuse, the event features students from the INDA Academy performing key passages of the Odyssey.

The cycle runs every Saturday from October 31 to December 19. Performances will cover significant narrative arcs, including Odysseus’s departure from Ogygia, his time with the Phaeacians, the enchantments of Circe, and his eventual return to Ithaca to reunite with Penelope.

This initiative serves as the concluding phase of the “Il Teatro tra luce e parola” project. It aims to strengthen the connection between theatrical training, the local community, and new generations, while preparing for the return of the Odyssey to the Greek Theatre in 2027.
