Indaiatuba authorities issue warnings regarding scams and health violations

The City of Indaiatuba in São Paulo has issued alerts regarding two distinct issues involving public safety and health regulations.

Authorities warned of fraudulent schemes using the municipality's name and coat of arms to promote fake training courses. These scams target children and adolescents through messages for a purported “Military Apprentice” program and invite former municipal students to join fake firefighter training. The administration clarified that these private companies have no affiliation with the Municipal Education Secretariat or the local Military Service Board. Scammers reportedly charge fees for uniforms and monthly tuition.

In a separate matter, Sanitary Surveillance officials closed a room within an aesthetics clinic following reports of irregularities. Inspections revealed a lack of sanitary licensing, unqualified professionals performing procedures, and the use of medications not authorized by Anvisa. The action followed complaints regarding low-cost botox and filler treatments. The establishment faces potential fines of up to 187 UFESPs, and the responsible party has ten days to present a defense.
