Indaiatuba reaches 90% LED public lighting coverage

Indaiatuba has reached a milestone in urban infrastructure modernization, with LED technology now comprising 90% of its public lighting network. This achievement follows the installation of 2,197 new LED luminaires between November 2025 and May 2026, specifically targeting the Itaici neighborhood.

Since the program began in 2018, the municipality has implemented approximately 28,000 LED lighting points. The recent expansion included various technical specifications to suit different road types: 1,405 luminaires for residential streets, 720 for medium-traffic collector roads, and 72 high-capacity units for major avenues. The transition from traditional sodium vapor lamps to LED is intended to improve energy efficiency, enhance public safety, and assist visual monitoring systems.
