Actress Inde Navarrette, known for her role as Nikki Freeman in Obsession, revealed that she studied anime to improve her screenwriting and storytelling skills during a period of career uncertainty.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Navarrette explained that she analyzed series such as ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ and ‘Demon Slayer’ to understand different narrative structures. She noted that while ‘Demon Slayer’ follows a linear path, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ utilizes complex timelines and monologues that impact the story much later, providing lessons she applied to her own writing studies.
