Indea-MT suspends Sindesa system for migration, GTAs unavailable in Mato Grosso
The Instituto de Defesa Agropecuária do Estado de Mato Grosso (Indea-MT) temporarily shut down the Sistema Integrado de Defesa Sanitária (Sindesa) on the evening of 6 August. The suspension, required to migrate data to a new digital platform, will keep the system, the Rural Producer Module and the issuance of Guias de Trânsito Animal (GTAs) offline until 10 August when operations are expected to resume.
To mitigate the impact on livestock producers, Indea-MT extended the validity of existing GTAs for up to 15 days and urged the Federação da Agricultura e Pecuária de Mato Grosso (Famato) to advise farmers to issue required documents in advance. Manual GTAs for animals destined for slaughter remain prohibited, and a contingency plan will address emergencies such as farm fires. After the migration, users will need to reset their passwords and will receive training materials for the new system.
