Independence Palace reports revenue from new photography fees

Independence Palace has reported positive results following the implementation of a new fee for professional photography services. Between August 1 and August 12, the site welcomed over 60,700 visitors.

During this 12-day period, 89 service photography tickets were sold at a rate of 500,000 VND per camera, generating 44.5 million VND in revenue. This figure excludes standard entrance fees and other site services. Bùi Hữu Toàn, Director of the Reunification Hall, noted that the policy has helped reduce the impact of large photography groups on the general visitor experience.

The fee specifically targets professional service photography, such as graduation or birthday shoots. It does not apply to individuals or families using cameras for personal souvenirs. To prevent confusion, the site has clarified its signage to ensure visitors with professional-grade equipment are informed that personal use remains exempt from the additional charge.
