Independent Beirut Families List announces candidates for union elections

The Independent Beirut Families List has officially announced its candidacy for the upcoming elections of the administrative board of the Union of Beirut Family Associations, scheduled for next Friday. Led by engineer Walid Kabi, the list consists of 16 candidates described as competent professionals from various fields.

Running under the slogan ‘One Heart for a Promising Tomorrow,’ the group aims to operate independently of political or sectarian affiliations. The candidates' platform focuses on restoring Beirut’s national role, addressing health, education, and municipal issues, and serving as an influential lobby to advocate for the needs of Beirut’s residents.

Walid Kabi emphasized the goal of transforming the Union into a modern civil institution that empowers youth and women through education and economic initiatives, while preserving the city’s heritage and social fabric.
