Independiente del Valle defeats Delfín 3-2 to extend winning streak

Independiente del Valle secured a 3-2 victory against Delfín in the 25th round of the Ecuadorian LigaPro, further consolidating their position at the top of the league standings with 64 points.

The match saw Hugo Quintana open the scoring for the leaders in the 14th minute, followed by an own goal from Ayrton Cisneros to make it 2-0. Although Delfín’s Franco Ayunta managed to pull one back before halftime, Charli González restored the two-goal cushion for Independiente del Valle just before the break.

Delfín attempted a comeback in the second half with a header from Jefferson Arce in the 66th minute, but the home side maintained control to secure the win. This victory marks the tenth consecutive win for Independiente del Valle, bringing them closer to the national record of 11 consecutive victories held by El Nacional.
