INDES celebrates 35 years of scientific research in Argentina
The Institute for Social Development Studies (INDES), a joint entity of the National University of Santiago del Estero (UNSE) and the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), is celebrating 35 years of continuous operation. Established on October 1, 1991, the institute has evolved from a local initiative into a regional scientific reference point.
Currently led by Dr. Celeste Schnyder and Vice Director Dr. Cristian Jara, INDES employs over 50 researchers, technical staff, and doctoral fellows. The institute organizes its scientific work into eight specialized research groups covering topics such as culture, politics, rurality, gender, human rights, labor, archaeology, and the environment. It also publishes the peer-reviewed journal 'Trabajo y Sociedad'.
