India and Cyprus discuss strengthening transport and maritime cooperation

India and Cyprus have held discussions to strengthen cooperation in connectivity, transport, and the maritime sector. Indian High Commissioner Manish met with Cyprus Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Avgi Tsolakaki, in Nicosia to explore ways to enhance bilateral ties in these specific areas.

Following this, High Commissioner Manish also met with various officials, including Deputy Political Director Poly Ioannou and George Georgiou, head of the Asia and Oceania Department, to review the bilateral agenda. These meetings aim to translate the strategic vision shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Nicos Christodoulides during the latter's visit to India in May into concrete results, particularly regarding defense and transport connectivity.
