India and Kazakhstan pledge to deepen strategic partnership

India and Kazakhstan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening their strategic partnership, aiming to translate bilateral ties into tangible outcomes. This follows a meeting between India’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Y K Sailas Thangal, and Kazakhstan’s newly appointed Deputy Foreign Minister, Arman Issagaliyev.

The discussions covered a wide range of sectors, including political relations, trade, defense and security, connectivity, energy, and critical minerals. Both nations also expressed interest in cooperating on emerging technologies, the creative economy, and people-to-people ties.

This diplomatic engagement builds upon recent discussions between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which took place during the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi. The leaders emphasized the importance of their partnership for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
