India and Oman strengthen maritime and diplomatic ties

India and Oman have engaged in high-level discussions to enhance bilateral cooperation across maritime security and diplomatic channels. In New Delhi, the 8th edition of Navy Staff Talks was held between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman. Co-chaired by Commodore Kartik Srimal and Commodore Ahmed Juma Salim Al Khatri, the talks focused on deepening operational engagements, training, information exchange, and hydrographic cooperation to address shared maritime security challenges.

Additionally, the Diplomatic Club of Oman and the Diplomatic Club of Slovenia held their second joint meeting in New Delhi. Under the theme ‘Growing Together – Building One Global Diplomatic Club Community,’ the initiative aims to establish a global network of diplomatic clubs to promote cultural exchange, business networking, and soft diplomacy. The meeting included representatives from various nations, including India, Qatar, Armenia, and Uzbekistan, to foster international connections beyond traditional diplomatic channels.
