Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to India squad for T20I series decider

Veteran fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been added to the Indian squad for the fifth and final T20I against West Indies. His inclusion follows an injury to Arshdeep Singh, who sustained a blow to his bowling shoulder during the fourth T20I in Hyderabad.

The five-match series is currently tied at 2-2. The decisive match is scheduled to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While Bhuvneshwar’s addition provides experienced pace options, Arshdeep’s availability for the final game remains uncertain and will be assessed based on his recovery.

India faces the challenge of defending their home T20I series record, having not lost a bilateral series at home since 2019. The upcoming match is expected to be a high-scoring affair, though weather forecasts indicate a significant chance of rain in Bengaluru, which could threaten the fixture.
