India Announces Large-Scale Government Recruitment for Education Officials

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released a notification for 828 vacancies in Delhi's Education Department, comprising 124 principal and 704 vice‑principal positions. Applications are accepted online from 25 July to 14 August 2026, with eligibility criteria and an application fee specified in the advertisement.

Separately, the National Testing Agency (NTA) invited applications for four contract General Manager posts and sixteen Young Professional positions through UPSC's Pratibha Setu portal. The General Manager roles cover assessment research, test‑centre operations, and information security, each appointed for an initial three‑year term as part of NTA’s institutional rebuild mandated by a high‑level expert committee.

Both recruitment drives aim to strengthen India's education and testing infrastructure by hiring senior administrators and specialists.
