India Announces Medical Recruitment Drives: JIPMER Senior Resident Posts and Navi Mumbai Specialist Doctor Vacancies

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) in Puducherry has issued a rolling advertisement for 89 senior resident positions across 27 departments. Eligible candidates must hold an MD/MS/DNB/MDS qualification, be no older than 45, and register online between 5 June and 29 June 2026. The written test and interview are scheduled for 2‑4 July 2026, and the posts are on a three‑year tenure with a starting salary of about ₹1,30,000 per month.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced 39 visiting specialist consultant vacancies for its Urban Primary Health Centres under the National Urban Health Mission. Positions cover six specialties, with appointments on an honorarium basis of ₹2,000 per visit plus ₹100 per patient. Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the NMMC health department between 9 June and 19 June 2026. Selected consultants will serve on a per‑visit schedule at seven UPHCs across Navi Mumbai.
