India announces research fellow positions at PGIMER and RCB

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh has opened applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in its Department of Hepatology. The one‑year, ANRF‑funded project focuses on iPSC‑derived liver organoids for drug testing and dose optimisation in alcohol‑associated liver disease. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in a relevant life‑science discipline, have at least two years of research experience, and be under 35 years old. The application deadline is 21 July 2026.

The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) in Faridabad, Haryana, is recruiting a Project‑Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a one‑year study of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis ESX‑1 secretion system, a potential drug‑target pathway. Applicants need an M.Sc. in life sciences with a qualifying NET/DBT‑JRF/GATE score and must be 26 years or younger as of 31 July 2026.
