India A–Sri Lanka A cricket match in Dambulla leads to player altercation

In the fourth match of a tri‑nation ODI series in Dambulla, India A and Sri Lanka A finished their 50‑over innings level on 265 runs each, prompting a Super Over that Sri Lanka A won. After the match, 15‑year‑old Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi became involved in a heated exchange with Sri Lankan player Vishan Halambage. Halambage reportedly told him, "The match is over… go home now…", after which Suryavanshi reacted with verbal and physical confrontation. Teammates from both sides intervened, and the players later shook hands. The incident is under review for possible breach of ICC Code of Conduct Article 2.12, which covers inappropriate physical contact, though the ICC generally does not adjudicate disciplinary matters in 'A‑team' series. A decision on any sanction is expected in the coming days.
