India boosts AI capacity with Paris student immersion and Bengaluru tech hub launch

The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore sent fifteen first‑year AI and Data Science students to Paris for an immersion programme on AI ethics and responsible innovation. Hosted by Aivancity School of AI & Data for Business & Society, the visit included meetings at UNESCO and discussions with experts on the societal and regulatory dimensions of AI. Director Dr. Debabrata Das emphasized that “future technologists must understand how to deploy AI responsibly.”

US‑based loyalty‑technology firm Kobie opened an artificial‑intelligence hub in Bengaluru staffed by about 50 professionals covering AI engineering, data science, cloud engineering and MLOps. The centre also links with four Indian universities through a paid internship programme. “Our goal in India is to create an environment where innovators solve complex business challenges by leveraging AI,” said Raghuveer KS of Kobie.
