India Wins Multiple Golds at U15 Asian Wrestling Championships in Pattaya

India opened the Under-15 Asian Wrestling Championships in Pattaya, Thailand with a gold medal by Darpan Raju Chaudhari in the 62 kg Greco‑Roman category and a total of five medals on day 1.

On day 2 Indian women wrestlers dominated, capturing three golds (Samruddhi Satish Patil 33 kg, Vinakshi 46 kg, Disha Shokeen 66 kg), two silvers and three bronzes, giving India an eight‑medal haul and a perfect podium record for the day. The Indian Greco‑Roman team finished third overall with 150 points, behind Uzbekistan (171) and Kazakhstan (167). Individual victories included Shokeen’s 11‑0 technical superiority over Japan, Patil’s 8‑2 win over Uzbekistan, and Vinakshi’s 7‑4 victory over another Uzbek opponent. Bronze medals were secured by Nisha Mor, Dipanshi and Anjali Santosh Vetal.
