India condemns defacement of its embassy in Slovenia
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has condemned the defacement of its embassy premises in Slovenia by anti-India elements. New Delhi has demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice, emphasizing that under the Vienna Convention, diplomatic premises are inviolable and must be protected.
India has formally raised the matter with Slovenian authorities in both New Delhi and Ljubljana to ensure accountability. The Ministry also urged Slovenian law enforcement to take firm action against what it described as hateful propaganda and disinformation being disseminated by the groups involved.
The incident occurs following recent high-level diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. Recent activities included meetings between India’s Ambassador to Slovenia, Amit Narang, and Slovenia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tone Kajzer, to discuss advancing economic and diplomatic cooperation.
