Ryan ten Doeschate joins Knight Riders as head of cricket strategy
Ryan ten Doeschate resigned as India’s men’s assistant coach after the white‑ball series loss in England. His two‑year contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ended on 10 June 2026 and was not extended; he informed the board during the United Kingdom tour.

Knight Riders Sports announced his appointment as Head of Cricket Strategy. The franchise’s CEO Venky Mysore praised Doeschate’s long‑standing association with the Knight Riders family, noting his playing stints in KKR’s 2012 and 2014 IPL title‑winning squads and subsequent coaching work.
The BCCI said it will recruit replacements for both Doeschate and fielding coach T Dilip in the coming days.
