India cricket team debates bowling changes ahead of England T20I series

He also questioned the need for three spinners on English pitches, suggesting a shift toward pace could improve balance even at the cost of some batting depth.

Former player Aakash Chopra offered a specific playing‑XI for the third T20I at Trent Bridge, recommending that fast‑bowling all‑rounder Ravi Bishnoi be dropped in favour of pacer Prince Yadav to maximise the Powerplay. Chopra noted that England’s spinners have performed well at the venue, but still favoured a lineup with Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel as the sole spinners. The hosts lead the series 1‑0 after winning the second match by four wickets, and the third fixture is set for 7 July in Nottingham.
