India cricket team faces BCCI review after England T20I whitewash

India suffered consecutive T20I series defeats, losing 0-2 to Ireland and then being white‑washed 0-4 by England. Former selector Saba Karim called on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to review team management, holding the coaching staff, including head coach Gautam Gambhir, and captain Shreyas Iyer accountable for the poor performance.

Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif also urged the BCCI to ask why wrist‑spinner Kuldeep Yadav was omitted from the ODI XI despite injuries to senior bowlers. Kaif highlighted deficiencies in India's bowling attack ahead of the 2027 World Cup and called for a thorough review of selection decisions.

Both former players stressed the need for the BCCI to address selection policies and strengthen the bowling unit as the team prepares for upcoming international challenges.
