India cricket team arrives in Japan for historic T20I
The Indian men’s cricket team, led by Shreyas Iyer, has arrived in Japan for a historic one-off T20I against Japan, known as the Suzuki Cup. The match precedes India’s 2026 Asian Games campaign, where the defending champions are set to enter directly into the quarter-final stage on September 28. While the fixture is a celebratory event, officials from the Japan Cricket Association noted that weather conditions, including a predicted typhoon, remain a concern for staging the game.
