India names Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi as injury replacements for ODI and T20I squads

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that fast‑bowler Harshit Rana and spinner Varun Chakaravarthy have been ruled out of upcoming white‑ball assignments after sustaining hamstring injuries during the third T20 International against England at Trent Bridge. "Rana reported a sudden onset of discomfort in his right hamstring… scans revealed a Grade 1 hamstring injury," the BCCI said, adding that he will miss the three‑match ODI series against England. Chakaravarthy suffered a Grade 2 injury to his left hamstring and will miss the T20I series in Zimbabwe.

Prince Yadav has been named Rana’s replacement in the England ODI squad, while leg‑spinner Ravi Bishnoi will replace Chakaravarthy in the Zimbabwe T20I squad. The ODI series begins on 14 July 2026 in Birmingham, with the second and third matches in Cardiff and London. The T20I tour of Zimbabwe follows later in July. The changes come after India’s recent 0‑4 white‑ball series loss to England and aim to restore balance to the bowling attack.
