India Day in Germany celebrates 75 years of diplomatic relations

The Embassy of India in Germany, in collaboration with Brandenburg Technical University (BTU), organized India Day in Cottbus to highlight India’s scientific achievements and cultural diversity. The event, attended by approximately 200 participants, served to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany.

Ambassador Ajit Gupte noted the ongoing expansion of bilateral ties in sectors including education, science, technology, innovation, trade, investment, and talent mobility. This follows a recent telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during which both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to a Strategic Partnership covering defense, clean energy, and advanced technologies.
