India deepens defence cooperation with US and boosts inter‑service integration
India’s top naval and army chiefs met in New Delhi to reaffirm a push for greater jointness and operational synergy. Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Chief of the Naval Staff, and General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, discussed ways to enhance inter‑service coordination and integrated warfighting capabilities.
Separately, India and the United States held their 29th Army‑to‑Army Staff Talks in Hawaii, co‑chaired by Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai and Lieutenant General Joel Vowell. The talks focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation, improving interoperability, expanding professional exchanges and deepening military collaboration in support of shared security interests in the Indo‑Pacific region.
