India demands credible action from Pakistan on cross-border terrorism

India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has called on Pakistan to take “credible action” against cross-border terrorism to gain international trust. During a bi-weekly media briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that Islamabad must demonstrate firm commitment and verifiable actions before its assertions regarding counter-terrorism efforts are believed by the global community.

These remarks were made in response to statements by Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, who asserted that the Pakistani armed forces remain determined to defeat terrorism. Jaiswal emphasized that Pakistan needs to show concrete results rather than just verbal assurances.

Separately, New Delhi expressed concern over reported civilian casualties following Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan's Kunar and Paktika provinces, which have contributed to renewed tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
