India dominates Under-15 Asian Wrestling Championships with three gold medals
Indian female wrestlers Samriddhi Satish Patel (33 kg), Vinakshi (46 kg) and Disha Shaukeen (66 kg) each won gold on the second day of the Under‑15 Asian Wrestling Championships in Pataya, bringing India’s medal tally to eight (3 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze). The victories gave India a 100 % podium finish across all eight bouts contested that day.
The Indian Under‑15 Greco‑Roman team accumulated 150 points, placing third overall behind Uzbekistan (171 points) and Kazakhstan (167 points). In the women's events, Shaukeen defeated Japan’s Nova Doike 11‑0 in the 66 kg final, Patel beat Uzbekistan’s Madina Nosirova 8‑2 in the 33 kg final, and Vinakshi overcame Uzbekistan’s Muslima Hojimamatova 7‑4 to claim the 46 kg title. Indian wrestlers also secured two silver and three bronze medals, with close contests against Japanese, Chinese, and Mongolian opponents.
