India Emphasizes Youth Strength and AI Leadership

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal told the Viva Tech 2026 conference that India’s youthful population, affordable data, abundant power and large pool of STEM graduates place the country at the forefront of the global artificial‑intelligence revolution. He said AI will be an enabler of growth, creating new jobs rather than displacing workers, and highlighted India’s capacity to bridge the worldwide technology divide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in New Delhi, said the world is recognizing India’s “youth power” and outlined the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, which has disbursed ₹2,400 crore to 1.5 million first‑time employees and generated more than 70 lakh jobs. The scheme aims to link young talent with industry, boost employment, and leverage free‑trade agreements to expand markets for Indian products.

Both leaders stressed that India’s demographic advantage and focus on quality and innovation will drive the nation’s growth and its role in global markets.
