India evacuates ICCR scholarship recipients from Gaza
The Representative Office of India to the State of Palestine announced the successful evacuation of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarship recipients from Gaza. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Embassy of India in Jordan and the ICCR. The scholars have arrived safely in India and have begun attending their respective universities.
In a related development, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Secretary Sripriya Ranganathan recently conducted an official visit to Palestine. During this visit, she inaugurated a Government of India-supported Quick Impact Project (QIP) at the Jericho Women’s Charitable Society School in Ramallah. This project, which marks India’s eighth QIP in Palestine, provided upgraded educational facilities, computers, and essential equipment to the school.
Secretary Ranganathan also visited the Palestine-India Techno Park and met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Diplomatic Advisor Majdi Al-Khaldi. Discussions focused on strengthening the bilateral partnership and advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
