India expands AI presence through technology showcases and workforce training

India is strengthening its position in the global artificial intelligence economy through both technological exports and large-scale workforce development. At the Dubai AI Festival 2026, a delegation of 23 Indian companies showcased diverse AI solutions at the Bharat Pavilion. These innovations included GPU cloud computing, data center solutions, computer vision, and multilingual voice AI, aimed at meeting international business needs.

In tandem with technological exports, SAP has announced expanded programs to equip 2 million people in India with AI-ready skills by 2030. The initiative seeks to address the rising demand for digital talent by collaborating with academic institutions, government bodies, and industry partners. SAP noted that approximately 13 percent of the 2 million target has already been reached through existing certification and community programs.
