India expands digital infrastructure and defense manufacturing

India is experiencing significant growth in both its technological infrastructure and defense sectors. The country's digital economy is projected to reach $1 trillion by 2030, driven by rapid adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud services, and digital payments. To support this, the data center industry is expanding rapidly; capacity is expected to potentially increase five-fold by 2030. Mumbai currently serves as the largest hub for these facilities.

In the defense sector, Minister Rajnath Singh reported that defense exports have reached a record Rs 38,424 crore, with total defense production rising to Rs 1.80 lakh crore. The government is focusing on strategic manufacturing, including shipbuilding and semiconductor production, to strengthen the nation's global standing and economic prosperity.
