India expands diplomatic engagement with Caribbean nations

India is actively strengthening bilateral ties with several Caribbean nations through high-level diplomatic meetings. In the Bahamas, High Commissioner Mayank Joshi met with Prime Minister Philip Edward Davis to discuss expanding cooperation in the orange, green, and blue economies, focusing on sustainable and inclusive growth.

In Antigua and Barbuda, High Commissioner-designate Chinmoy Naik held discussions with Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Minister Maria Vanessa Browne to explore ways to enrich the bilateral relationship across various domains. These engagements occur alongside India’s broader efforts to deepen relations with the CARICOM group, which includes nations such as Guyana, Barbados, and Jamaica.
