India gold and silver prices fall sharply in June 2026

During the week ending 19 June 2026, India’s bullion market recorded steep declines. Spot gold dropped roughly ₹3,000 per 10 g, with 24‑carat gold trading around ₹1.46 lakh per 10 g and 22‑carat near ₹1.34 lakh, while silver fell up to ₹10,000 per kilogram, reaching about ₹2.5 lakh per kg. Analysts attribute the fall to a strengthening US dollar, which has pushed the global spot gold price to about $4,148.45 per ounce.

On 21 June 2026 the prices stabilised: 24‑carat gold remained at ₹1,46,080 per 10 g and 22‑carat at ₹1,33,900 in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and others. Silver stayed at ₹2,50,000 per kilogram across the same markets. The continued dollar strength and tight monetary policy in the United States are cited as the primary drivers of the subdued metal prices.
