On June 8, India’s gold prices were reported around ₹1.55  lakh per 10 g for 24‑carat gold in Delhi, with similar levels in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and other major cities. Prices in the week had fallen up to ₹4,690 per 10 g, reflecting cautious investor sentiment. Silver traded near ₹2.65  lakh per kg, about ₹15,000 cheaper than a week earlier. Analysts linked the movements to global economic conditions, a strong US dollar, and geopolitical uncertainty such as the US‑Iran tension, which kept investors wary of precious‑metal markets.
