India gold prices dip modestly as rates fall
Gold prices in India showed a slight decline on 2 June 2026. In Bengaluru, the 22‑carat price fell to ₹14,320 per gram and the 24‑carat price to ₹15,622 per gram. Similar rates were reported in Chennai (₹14,500/₹15,818), Mumbai (₹14,320/₹15,622), Delhi (₹14,335/₹15,637), Kolkata, Hyderabad and other major cities.
The price drop amounted to about ₹8,200 per 100 g of 24‑carat gold and a ₹7,500 reduction for 10 g of 22‑carat gold, according to market data. Silver prices remained stable, with Bengaluru quoting ₹280 per gram.
These movements reflect a brief reversal in the recent upward trend of precious‑metal prices across the country.
