India holds workshops on NEP 2020 education reforms
Educational institutions in India are conducting workshops to facilitate the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
In Tiruchirappalli, a national workshop at National College, organized with the Physical Education Foundation of India, focused on integrating sports and physical education into higher education. The discussions emphasized using sports to promote holistic development, including social and emotional skills like teamwork and leadership, in alignment with the NEP 2020 pillars of quality and accountability.
In Umarga, Shivaji College hosted a workshop addressing the Academic Bank of Credits and the multiple entry-multiple exit system. Experts highlighted how these reforms provide students with the flexibility to enter, leave, and re-enter the education system at various stages. The sessions also covered credit transfers, on-the-job training, internships, and field projects to create a more student-centric learning environment.
